Mainly Capital renewal, and Smart Buildings projects

What are you excited about in the industry?

I am very excited about the increasing integration of advanced technologies in the industry, such as the implementation of IoT devices and the development of AI and ML, which have the potential to enhance building efficiency, reduce energy consumption and improve occupant comfort. Additionally, the shift towards more sustainable and energy-efficient buildings is also a promising trend that I find exciting. It is inspiring to see how technology is being used to create smarter and more environmentally friendly buildings, and I am eager to be a part of this transformation.

What do you think needs to change in the industry?

I believe there is a need to provide education and awareness about the benefits of smart building technologies and sustainability practices. There is often a need for more understanding of the long-term benefits and cost savings associated with these investments, making it difficult for stakeholders to justify the upfront costs.

What do you wish we all discussed more?

I think there should be more discussion about the role of government policies and regulations in promoting sustainability and driving innovation in the industry. Policymakers have a critical role in incentivizing and promoting sustainable practices and technologies, and greater collaboration between government and industry stakeholders can help accelerate progress in this area.
