Welcome to our NexusCon 2024 event recordings! These recordings and slides are available for Nexus Pro Members only.
The industry needed a different type of conference, so we built it. NexusCon 2024 was full of sponsor-free content, real-world case studies, and most importantly, our community.
We heard from 109 speakers across 24 different sessions over a span of 3 days. Although nothing beats the in-person real-time learnings from NexusCon, we are excited to release the NexusCon session recordings to our Nexus Pro Community. We have over 40 hours of hot takes, knowledge bombs, collaborations, and disagreements among smart buildings industry experts to share with you.
Join us for an insightful session where three industry leaders share their journey from digitization to decarbonization using energy management solutions to support them along the way. Representing diverse sectors—retail, office space, and higher education—each speaker will present real case studies highlighting the challenges they faced, the lessons they learned, and the strategies they employed to drive significant reductions in carbon emissions. This session will provide practical insights into how technology and innovative practices can be leveraged to meet decarbonization goals, offering valuable takeaways for those looking to make a similar impact in their own operations. The following case studies will be included in this session:
Mind the Gap: Bridging the Divide Between Decarbonization & Digitization
BGO and Cortex Building Intelligence will facilitate an open conversation about how buildings struggle to decarbonize despite a desire to do so. They’ll dive into the challenges around change management and organizational alignment to highlight the fact that there’s a lot more to the process than just deploying new technologies.
Dollar Tree’s Journey Toward Transforming Energy and Facilities Management
Dollar Tree and Mantis Innovation will share the convergence and deployment of energy management systems across Dollar Tree’s portfolio of buildings to decrease carbon emissions and improve the operational efficiency of facilities teams.
Sustainability in Higher Education: Lessons Learned from Boston University’s Sustainability Journey
Boston University and Atrius will showcase projects that use modern controls to create a more sustainable campus while educating students and the broader community on responsible energy management. They’ll address the challenges of running energy-efficient buildings and offer insights from a Higher Ed perspective on decision-making factors when upgrading control systems. Their campus as a living lab approach will provide practical ideas for accelerating decarbonization and measuring impact to understand which building controls projects to invest in next.
The session will include breakout groups for the audience to discuss each case study, and will end with a panel discussion and moderated consensus on the question: As a sustainability leader, how can I use energy management software to engage my operations teams and accelerate my decarbonization program?
To continue on and hear from BGO, Cortex Building Intelligence, Dollar Tree, Mantis Innovation, Boston University, and Atrius on case studies that share practical insights into how technology and innovative practices can be leveraged to meet decarbonization goals, subscribe to Nexus Pro ⬇️
