Hey friends, happy Sunday!
Welcome to another monthly digest… a collection of member updates and ideas I’ve been thinking about and working on this month.
Enjoy.
Since we introduced Nexus Connect last month, over 100 of you have made it onto the platform and started to engage with the others. That leaves another hundred of you that are MIA!
Please check your inbox for an invite and get your butt inside. Hit reply if you don’t see your invite.

Here’s the recording from this week’s Member Gathering. [You’ll notice that’s a link to Nexus Connect. See #1 if you can’t access it! See what I did there?]
This was a super fun conversation with 4 panelists who are approaching our industry from a slightly different lens than the rest of us… they’re part of the small but growing group of Pro members who are investors in building tech. I learned a lot!
---
In case you missed it, members received two other deeper dives this month:
How can analytics go mainstream?
“goes deep and breaks down the current state of the industry and what needs to change to level up in Building Analytics.”
“this was a great article. It was clear, concise, and cogent. Well done!”
“Mate, I absolutely love this article. There are a couple of points you raised which I think will get a few building nerds thinking outside of their own world and into the world of their clients.”
“I agree heavely on two items - It would benefit the whole industry if we collectively solved the data acquisition and standard tagging/modeling problem. The solutions should be more complete - FDD/ASO/CMMS seamlessly together for a full workflow.”
The Lens: Honeywell+Sine, FERC order 2222, Axiom's reincarnation
---
This month, there have also been some fascinating LinkedIn conversations, in case you missed any of them:
---
After reading APIs all the way down, then digesting those two interesting LinkedIn discussions above, and then writing the above essay on analytics, I couldn’t help but mash all of these concepts up in my mind.
What if instead of something like 60 full-stack analytics companies in our space, there were only a few? And what if instead of those few worrying about all parts of the stack, they simply focused on performing the best of the best analytics? Meaning they let others focus on things like data collection, control, 3D visualization, user engagement, and workflow integration?
What do you think that sort of world would unlock?
Thanks for reading and thanks for being a Nexus Pro member. As always, I’d love if you hit reply and let me know how I can improve your membership.
