1—Members-only goodies from February 2022
Vendor Landscape—After January's big AirTable update, I heard from many of you who shared your own versions of the Vendor Landscape. I'm working on auditing all of those and adding them to the master landscape. I added about 100 companies this month.
SME Workshop: PassiveHouse and the relevant tech developments—In February's SME workshop, Craig Stevenson of AUROS Group shared an excellent presentation on Building Science, why it matters, how it will change the industry, and relevant technolgy. Check it out if you missed it!
Member Gathering: Multifamily Residential—In February's member gathering, members from Parity and Pulse IQ talked about how multifamily residential differs from other building types when applying technology.
What are you an expert in? I know that each of you has a deep expertise that would help us move forward as a community. Our SME workshops are a great way to get your name out there, build relationships, and get feedback on your ideas.
To grab a spot on our calendar in the future to teach the community... just hit reply and we'll work out the details.
5—Upcoming ways to get involved
There's still a lot of fun to be had in February! Here are a few things to look forward to...
Subject Matter Expert Workshop: Pro member Pete Swanson, Digital Technology Lead (AUS) at Mott MacDonald, will present on his experience in navigating how to brief with clients, how to understand what they really want, how to convert that into something a contractor can practically implement, the best ways to address the inevitable value engineering / cost management process and 3 key ways to ensure that when you deliver an Elephant your client isn’t expecting a Giraffe.
Member Gathering: Pro member Lee Hodgkinson, Head of Sustainability & Technical Services at Dream Unlimited (one of Canada’s leading real estate companies with approximately $10 billion of assets under management), will chat with the group about Dream's plans for Net Zero and the technology involved.
6—New community features
Nexus Connect is always improving! Take a look at the newest update on member profiles...
You can now search from members based on their location, role, and anything else in their profile.
Here's the catch though: in order for you to show up in search results, you need to update your profiles with a headshot and bio information.
Do it now, please?!! 🙌
