Hey Friends,
Last week we discussed the 50+ buyer organizations we’re looking forward to welcoming at NexusCon, with a special focus on those who own and lease office spaces. But that’s far from the only industry we’ll be discussing next month when we all come together in person in Denver for the first time.
This week, we thought we’d highlight the buyers — and sessions of interest — for three other industries that each face unique and difficult challenges when it comes to reaching carbon targets and utilizing the latest technology, while also working with tight budgets and ensuring quality of life and safety.
As new technologies shift healthcare towards proactive, data-driven approaches, we’ll highlight two case studies that show how the industry is responding to its unique challenges.
In Tech-Driven Maintenance Strategy: Case Studies from Healthcare, Retail, Office, and More, Kaiser Permanente and their Fault Detection and Diagnostics vendor, Clockworks Analytics, will describe the procedure to an FDD pilot at Kaiser that has led to significant time/cost savings, including 40% time savings on AHU PMs.
And in Fixing the Design & Construction Process, UCSF Health and Altura will present a case study on the development of a 900,000-square-foot, $4.3 billion-dollar hospital that has faced the challenges of unifying HVAC Control, lighting, and window shades systems, including an explanation of what is still driving these systems to be separated.
Higher education organizations in particular are restrained by capital budgets when attempting to make changes to reach carbon targets. At NexusCon, we’ll hear from several of the largest institutions in the nation who will share their knowledge, success, and savings.
In round 2 of Digitize to Decarbonize: Case Studies for Practitioners, Dartmouth College will share their journey in implementing the first phase of their Campus Energy Management System (CEMS), and Stanford University will showcase their innovative approach to achieving hourly carbon neutrality.
In OT with an IT Mindset: Governance & Cybersecurity to Enable Digital Buildings Dartmouth will be joined by Optigo Networks and Ace IoT Solutions to discuss the importance of OT network integrity for data transportation and explain how updates to the Dartmouth building network allowed the college to respond rapidly to issues and fix broken integrations, resulting in significant year-over-year energy savings.
For the nearly 15 organizations that will be joining us who own and operate multifamily properties, many of the sessions will apply to the technology, systems, and processes in the residential space.
One in particular, Turning IoT Sensor Data Into Gold, will focus on IoT sensors. Especially in multifamily buildings, sensors can improve quality of life, detect issues like leaks, and keep people safe. This session will include briefings from HH Angus, Manulife, the US Green Buildings Council, the General Services Administration, Kaiterra, and Kilroy Realty on how they are implementing IoT sensors with value creation in mind, regardless of the application.
Which one of these sessions are you most excited about? We’ll continue to highlight sessions as the conference nears, but that doesn’t mean you should wait to find out more and get your ticket if you haven’t already.
A limited number of vendor tickets remain, and buyers can use code NEXUSCONBUYER2024 to receive a complimentary ticket.
Register today and we’ll see you in Denver!
