Partner Pulse: Neeve

December 10, 2024

Welcome to our Partner Pulse series. Nexus Labs’ Partners are at the forefront of the smart buildings revolution. With any revolution, there is continuous change while momentum builds. We want to keep our audience informed of accomplishments, breakthroughs, deployments, and developments within the companies leading our industry. We hope you enjoy this straightforward summary of what’s new at Neeve, one of the leaders at the Network Layer in Edge Computing, Network Monitoring & Vulnerability Scanning, and Remote Access.

Over a year has passed since our podcast with Cory Clarke, CPO of Neeve on Neeve’s full-stack offering. A lot has changed and progressed since then, including upgraded product offerings, a new company name, and $15 million in 2024 financing! We sat down with Nitesh Trikha, CEO of Neeve, to hear what’s new.

Give us your 1-minute elevator pitch

The word Neeve means foundation, and we’ve built Neeve as a smarter foundation for spaces.

Neeve is the foundational technology for intelligent buildings, trusted by leading companies worldwide. Our solutions encompass cybersecurity, secure remote and cloud access, edge computing, applications, and cloud management, all designed to empower your operational technology (OT) journey to the cloud and AI.

Neeve revitalizes spaces by laying the essential groundwork for simplicity, intelligence, and sustainability. Our vision is to make spaces work for people.

Neeve’s infrastructure solutions are offered entirely as a cloud managed service service including secure appliances at the edge.

  • Secure Edge: A unified platform delivering robust cybersecurity for OT, seamless remote and cloud connectivity, and powerful edge-of-cloud computing.
  • Intelligence: Anchored in our secure foundation, this solution provides industry-specific data pipelines that fuel machine learning (ML) and generative AI, pushing beyond data to drive actionable insights and reliable automation.
  • Cloud: A fully managed infrastructure tailored for OT, offering resilient edge-of-cloud and cloud services that support your journey to the cloud and AI.

How many buildings has your product been deployed in?

Over 650, and counting.

What is your go-to-market strategy?

We sell both directly and through partners.

We have OEM partnerships with multiple Fortune Global top 10 electronics companies.

We partner with distributors like Cochrane Supply Co. in the US and Frame Group in Australia.

Our system integrator partners sell to end users, provide implementation and support, and, in some cases, offer fully managed services.

In the US, this includes Bluevolution, Building Controls Group, Cochrane Supply Co, Jackson Control, Nautilus Controls, and Triton Energy.

In Australia, our system integrators are Frame Group, Oberix, and Syntric.

In Europe and the Middle East, our system integrators are Datavictus and Juberi.

Our application partners use Neeve in their solution bundles to simplify, secure, and provide edge compute to their solutions. This includes Auvik, Exergenics, Facilio, Iceberg Cyber, KODE Labs, Kognition, Mapped, Nantum AI, Switch Automation, TagUp, and Thoughtwire

Who are some of your customers?

Some of our top end users are ARE (Alexandria), BGO, Charter Hall, UBS/Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Frasers, Kilroy, RXR, Schneider Electric, Tishman Speyer, and UE (Urban Edge).

Any deployment-related stats you’d like to bring up?

We have a 100% renewal rate with our production customers beyond the pilot stage. Out customers continue to expand both

  1. In the number of buildings they deploy Neeve into,
  2. The product and feature sets they choose Neeve for.

How much have you grown in the last year?

Neeve relaunched as a private company in September 2024 backed by Cantor Fitzgerald and RXR. We added two dozen partners globally, began our deployments with our F10 electronics OEM partners, and added new REIT logos like UE (Urban Edge) and others. Established offices in London and Australia with local presence.

How many employees do you have?

We have 60 employees across San Francisco, New York, London UK, Adelaide AU, and Chennai India. All employees work exclusively in the smart building space.

What funding rounds have you completed in the last year and what are you planning to do with the money?

On September 30, 2024, Neeve secured $15 million in financing led by Cantor Fitzgerald and RXR. This investment will drive Neeve's global expansion, supporting the digital transformation of the commercial real estate sector, accelerating sustainability initiatives, and enhancing cybersecurity measures.

What is the #1 most exciting product update from the last year?

I’ll give you 3:

  • Automatic asset identification and onboarding of building devices for secure remote access.
  • New, simple, and advanced portfolio-level policy access controls to fit every customer’s and every partner’s organization structure.
  • Support for duplicate networks, allowing customers to connect unconverged networks without having to reconfigure IP addresses.

Why is this important for your customers?

  • Verifiably strong cybersecurity and zero-trust secure remote and cloud access for OT.
  • A unified platform to enable a small team to support a large portfolio of buildings and vendors.
  • A clear and secure path the the Cloud and to AI adoption to improve services, reduce costs, and increase sustainability.

But our client teams and our partners' deployment teams are also very small. So simplifying how our customers access our advanced capabilities is essential to their success and ours.

What is the #2 most exciting product update from the last year?

Cloud BMS aligned with multiple leading BMS providers globally.

Neeve Cloud BMS simplifies management complexity and improves security by providing a fully-managed cloud environment for OT applications. Our managed cloud infrastructure designed for BMS applications centralizes your BMS systems in the cloud, affording more efficient management, reduced licensing needs, and improved resiliency.

Why is this important for your customers?

Our customers are moving their systems to the cloud, but lack the internal teams to manage cloud infrastructure at scale. Our partnerships with Tridium and Schneider give them the pathway to move to the cloud without having to scale up their team.

What’s next? What’s on the roadmap?

Neeve Intelligence is a multi-layer Agentic AI application that enables building managers to evaluate and optimize performance. By pairing comprehensive and contextual insights with AI-powered automation, this technology securely correlates disparate on-premise and cloud-based systems while zeroing in on relevant data to optimize building operations. This is AI-powered building intelligence presenting expert AI personas with edge-enabled agentic AI capabilities—i.e., pre-trained AI expertise in building operations—while preserving data security and privacy.

We’ll do our best to keep our community posted with interesting business updates on companies accelerating the industry, like Neeve. If you’re a buyer wondering what this technology can do for you, we recommend checking out our Buyers Guide to the Network Layer to continue your discovery process.
